About Us!

I opened in 2015 as Jelena’s Shoppe LLC at The Point at Carlisle Plaza.  I decided the mall scene wasn’t good for my business, so I moved to the historical area of downtown Carlisle into a beautiful Building built in the 1800’s in January 2017.  I reopened my shop as Selena’s Consignment & Vintage LLC in March 2017.   You must stop by to see this beautiful building and read the history posted by the owners.  Take a stroll through my shop and check out the two beautiful original black marble fire places.

Why I started selling vintage?

When I first open my shop it was just a consignment store and locally handmade items.  I decided to add handmade items to make my shop stand out from other consignment shops and also to support our locally talented craftsman; then as my consignors brought in their wonderful items to consign I started noticing I was receiving vintage houseware and jewelry when searching items on the internet to see what they were selling for to keep my cost around other consignment businesses.   I had a few people come in to see if I wanted old wedding dress and clothing.  I replied, sure bring them in and I will look at them.  I had a gentleman bring in his mother’s things, because she wanted to re-do her 3 bedrooms so she decided it was time to let go of some of her items; 90% of the items he brought in was new and from the 70s & 80s.  For several months he would bring in 10-15 items, so at that time I decided to create a vintage clothing section and now I’m receiving more and more vintage items.
